St. Joseph School values diversity and community-building through family events and a positive school climate. We serve students from over 20 districts across Nassau County. Unique to our school is our 2-year-old early learning program, our full-day PK class, and the unique elective programs we offer through our MIddle School Pathways program.
Students in grades K-5 can participate in our RISE extracurricular activity program after school. Students in grades PK-8 can also take advantage of our afterschool GRASP program which offers student supervision from dismissal through 6 PM every school day.
Culture – Our school cultivates a robustly Catholic Culture centered on the spiritual, intellectual, sacramental, and liturgical life of the Church.
Supportive Community – Our school provides a safe and supportive community that recognizes the dignity of every student and promotes human flourishing in a familial atmosphere.
Academic Excellence – Our school offers academic excellence, which will foster in your child individual growth and development according to time-tested, faith-based models of teaching and learning.
Technology – During the lockdown of 2020-2021, we quickly provided tools for remote learning to our students. When students at other schools struggled, the students at our school excelled.
Servant Leadership – In 2020-2021, our teachers believed students and families were their #1 priority making sure each student received classwork and support in the most challenging of circumstances. Now, they continue to make students and families their #1 priority.
Safe Classroom Learning – We all know that young students learn better in a classroom with their peers. We have an impressive student-to-teacher ratio and spacious classrooms. This allowed us to bring back all students for full 5-day in-person learning for the 2020-2021 school year when most schools in Long Island remained closed. For the 2021-2022 school year, our students continue to thrive.
